Hermas Haynes was born and raised in Barbados, the jewel of the Caribbean, where white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue waters, cool winds, average 80° F (27° C) temperatures, and friendly, hospitable people meld to create an unmatched island paradise.
Most of Hermas’ adult life has been spent on the east coast of the United States where he currently makes his living online. He became interested in the Internet shortly after the Y2K bug bust that occurred at the turn of the century. Remember that?
At the time, he was a partner in a company that configured computer network systems and customized databases for a specialized market. He enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of using the developing technology of the day to transform the client’s vision into practical applications.
Because of that experience, when the business partnership was dissolved, Hermas decided to explore other ways to earn a living using the computer.
And here he is today!
Much of what he has learned over the years about online marketing has been largely self taught. In the early days there were few places online or offline where people could go to learn even the basics. You had to be enterprising, willing to get your hands dirty in the trenches and figure things out for yourself.
The experience was often very intimidating and frustrating; but persistence and determination have a way of rewarding conscientious effort.
Today Hermas appreciates the dividends that have accrued as a result, and is grateful to be in a position to use this platform to reach back and help those coming along the path he has traveled.
